Matthew Molony

Matthew has over the last 10 years accumulated a diverse body of work in theatre, film and TV, becoming one of Melbourne's most respected actors on the independent theatre circuit. Most recently he has appeared in The Doctor and The Ruffian on the Stair for le poulet terrible, Daniel Keene's Half and Half for If Productions and played John Proctor in The Crucible for Eaglesnest Theatre. For Essential Theatre he has toured nationally in a number of Shakespearean roles - most notably playing Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Benedict in Much Ado About Nothing. For Melbourne Writer's Theatre he has appeared in A Drop Would Be Something and Protocol which won the Best Short Play Award and toured to Sydney. With La Mama he recently appeared in Porcelain.

Matthew's recent film and TV appearances include Neighbours, Pawn Shop directed by Alice Bishop, the independent feature Rats and Cats for Tony Rogers Productions and the independant feature due for release 08/09, The Curable with Simon Imberger Productions in which he plays the lead Matt Sylvian.

In addition Matthew has worked as a Producer on a number of theatre and film projects - Pawn Shop with le poulet terrible, The Cook which recently screened at the Rhode Island Film Festival, Sam Sheppard's Savage Love, and particularly with Essential Theatre developing Shakespeare in the Vines - touring Shakespeare's comedies to vineyards.
  Alice began her career at the age of nine in a production of Alice in Wonderland playing the dormouse. Since then she has worked across a variety of disciplines developing her career as an actor, comedian, producer, singer, costume designer, and these days primarily as a director.

Her directorial credits include The Butterfly Catcher, Bodybag and the recent Victorian tour of Catalpa for ITCH Productions, The Doctor (which she also translated and adapted) and The Ruffian on the Stair for le poulet terrible, Don DeLillo's Love Lies Bleeding with Redstitch Actor's Theatre, Catalpa with ITCH Productions (Greenroom nomination for Best Director), 10,000 Cigarettes with MWT, Pawn Shop (le poulet terrible), Alzheimers the Musical for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival - nominated for a Golden Gibbo Award, the noir classic Prisoner of Love, Kill Bob and Limited Sedition with Wendy Little - both for Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The Trial of Adolf Eichmann at La Mama, Percy Shelley's The Cenci for Perth's Hayman Theatre, I've Got a Bug (le poulet terrible) on the Adelaide Fringe as well as Much Ado About Nothing for Essential Theatre, Autogeddon on the Melbourne Fringe and Tartuffe with le poulet terrible.

For three years she was a member of The Sheryls which played to packed houses on the Australian festival circuit and the Edinburgh Fringe.

Her career as a performer also encompasses TV guest roles and many plays. As a Designer she has worked on programmes for Channel 9 and Channel 7 including Big Bite, video clips and commercials, little films, big musicals and many theatre and fashion projects

Elizabeth's work has cut a swathe through Theatre, Film, Television, Voice Over, TIE and the Corporate Sector. Since appearing as Cléante in le poulet terrible's original production of Tartuffe, Elizabeth has nurtured a long artistic association with several members of the company.

Theatre highlights include Nil, Cat & Buried with le poulet terrible, The Doctor for le poulet terrible, The Scoundrel that You Need at Gas Works, Tango at Napier Street, Richard III with Arden at the Malthouse, 10,000 Cigarettes with MWT, Solitary Animals at The Carlton Courthouse, After the Rain at Theatreworks with Vicious Fish, and Last Tango in Brunswick and After the War with Immediate Theatre.
  Michael landed a part in a BBCTV series while still at school, thereby derailing his ambition to be a rockstar. He has worked across a wide range of productions throughout the UK, USA, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Most recently he has appeared in The Doctor and The Ruffian on the Stair for le poulet terrible, The Real Thring and How to Disappear Completely and Never be Found - both for Hoy Polloy, Krapp's Last Tape and Faith Healer for Z Theatre Co (London) and Going Underground for Expresso Theatre (London). Other theatre credits include Claudius for Eaglesnest Theatre's Hamlet, The Greeks for PMD, and The True Adventures of Roger Casement at La Mama. Film and TV includes the 72 Hour Film Project with MIFF, The King, Empire Road (BBCTV), Pawn Shop and the feature film Purge.
Natalie Carr

Natalie has worked extensively in film, TV and theatre for 15 years. Her theatre credits include The Doctor and The Ruffian on the Stair for le poulet terrible, Short and Sweet for which she won Best Actress 2006, Domestic Animals by Ross Mueller, Out One Night and Still by Jane Bodie (receiving a Green Room nomination for her work in Still).

Her theatre credits include Nil, Cat & Buried, The Doctor; TV and film credits include The Glenmoore Job, MDA, The Secret Life of Us, Blue Heelers, Bad Boy Bubby, Tropfest finalists The Little Woman, and In Your Dreams for which she won Tropfest Best Actress 2005.

She has two features awaiting release - Crushed and Little Deaths. Natalie also plays Sergeant Roxanne Finch at the Old Melbourne Gaol. She is an ex Australian Ballroom Dancing Champion and has been teaching singing for the past 4 years.

 

Sian has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing from the Victorian College of the Arts and a Diploma in Visual Arts in Painting from RMIT. She has exhibited work both locally and overseas since 1997 and is represented in both public and private collections.

Sian has also worked as a stills photographer and assistant art director on short films including Inspection, Tropfest 2008, she designed the set for Frank and Earnest - Melbourne Fringe and she has also worked as a propmaker most notably on Black and Tran II - Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Cosi Fan Tute for the Melbourne Opera Company. Most recently Sian designed Nil, Cat & Buried, The Doctor, The Ruffian on the Stair and The Doctor for le poulet terrible.

Isobel studied theatre at Swinburne, completing Small Company and Community Theatre. Whilst refining her skills there she co-wrote and performed for Typecast a schools touring company. She performed at the Arts Centre as part of the festival for the Commonwealth Games and took part in the fringe festival 2006 as a circus performer. In 2008 Isobel become the resident stage manager for Red Stitch Theatre Company. She has worked with le poulet terrible as a lighting designer on Nil, Cat & Buried and The Ruffian on the Stair and played Lucinde in The Doctor.

 

After completing a Diploma of Small Companies and Community Theatre at Swinburne University of Technology in 2005. Rosie has been involved in a number of stage productions. Most recently Rosie has stage managed the Victorian tour of Catalpa for ITCH Productions, The Doctor and The Ruffian On The Stair for le poulet terrible and produced The Joy Before Thinking for The Little Ones Theatre. Previous stage-management credits include The New Australian Race for Commonplace Theatre, Cop Shop - Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2008, Laurence and Hollowman - Melbourne Fringe Festival 2007, 4:48 Psychosis - Red Stitch and No Exit - Beaumaris Community Theatre.

David's recent theatre credits include Nil, Cat & Buried, The Doctor for le poulet terrible, Closer (Tadaa Productions), Air Balloon Across Antarctica (Three to a Room, Edinburgh Fringe Festival), The Object of Desire (La Mama), Twelfth Night and A Midsummer Nights Dream (Essential Theatre) and Outlookers with Arena Theatre Company touring Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. He was also a founding member of Red Stitch Actors Theatre appearing in The Lights and The Day Room. His television credits include being a presenter on the Nickelodeon channel for the past two years and roles in The Mansion, Blue Heelers, Good Guys Bad Guys, Halifax F.P. and Raw FM. David has also appeared in the feature films Trojan Warrior and 5 Moments of Infidelity.

 

Richard has worked consistently as a Film, Television and Theatre Actor for over 10 years. His feature film credits include lead roles in the multi-award winning controversial feature Razor Eaters (for which he won the Best Actor Award at the 2005 Shreikfest Film Festival in Los Angeles) and the upcoming independent mockumentary Eliminated by the award winning filmmakers of The Jammed. Richard has also played supporting roles in Noise and The Glenmore Job. Richard spent several years as an ensemble member of Red Stitch Actor’s Theatre. Television credits include guest roles in Halifax F.P, City Homicide, Blue Heelers, Steven Spielberg’s - The Pacific, Stingers, Neighbours, Rush & Canal Road.
